Cole
Cole is a handsome, youthful, fun loving eight year old black Lab, who is as sweet as can be with people and other dogs! (Just does not care for cats) Cole loves all people & is very affectionate, loves the outdoors, and is well behaved. He walks well on leash, is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and is heartworm negative/on heartworm preventive. If you are interested in meeting this handsome boy, please give his foster dad, Don, a call at 847-363-5707 or contact him at anmlvr7@hotmail.com.
Cole's adoption fee of $150 will help cover his vet expenses and help to rescue other dogs.
Ramie
Ramie is a 1 year old female border collie/Lab mix. She is a very friendly girl with a lot of puppy-like energy. So far she hasn't met a human she doesn't like. She goes to doggie daycare two days a week and the word is she likes the boy dogs better. She actually does fine and is respectful of the alpha females in the playgroup but can be pushy with females that are on the shy side. For that reason I think it would be best if she went to a home either as an only dog or with male dogs. Ramie does not appear to have had any type of training because she came into rescue with no manners. She has proven to be a quick study and already offers a down before I open her crate door and a sit to get her food or treats. She is an energetic young girl who would love to be your best friend. Ramie is on the smaller side for a Lab probably because she's a mix. She weighs in at 44lbs. She is fully vetted and heartworm prevention. You can read more about Ramie at the Midwest Border Collie Rescue website: http://www.mwbcr.org/aaahtm/adoptable/Ramie.htm Ramie is fostered in Schaumburg, IL. Please contact her foster home for more information: renoshouse@yahoo.com
Freddy
We adopted Freddy out in Sept of 06. He was doing well in his new home and loving every minute of it. . . Until there was a severe sickness in the family and no one was home much with him any more. Freddy does have separation anxiety and does not do well left alone at home. Since they were spending so much time at the hospital, Freddy was getting more and more upset. The family could not take it anymore and brought Freddy back to us as they were not sure how long that would go on for. Freddy is a good boy, a black Lab who is between 2-3 years old. . . . And right now in desperate need of a good home. We have recently found out that Freddy Does NOT like cats at all and will not be able to be in a home with small animals. Although he does well with most other dogs, he does not seem to want to share his humans at home with one. So unfortunately, Freddy will need to be an only pet in a home where someone is home most of the time as he does have separation anxiety. Freddy is great with people and kids and for the most part is housebroken. Freddy is not doing well in a kennel environment as he is getting very depressed and not eating well. We are desperately looking for a home for Freddy where he knows he is wanted and loved.

Jasmine
Labrador Mix, 3 years old, Spayed female.
I'm a beautiful, cautious, and sensitive canine gal waiting for the right human to give me the forever home I long for. A sometimes fearful and insecure pooch, I will blossom if you slowly introduce me to new experiences and provide confidence building. Treat me patiently and as soon as we bond, I will work hard to please you. I am well worth the effort if you just give me the chance. My ASPCA Canine-ality™ Assessment rating is Green/Free Spirit and this is what they wrote for my personality: "Intelligent, independent, confident, and clever, I prefer making my own decisions, but will listen to you if you make a good case. We’re partners in this adventure – treat me as one and we’ll both live happily ever after." Please come to the shelter to meet me and speak to an adoption counselor for more information about me. Thank you.
