MLRR is an all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding loving, permanent homes for unwanted or abandoned Labrador Retrievers. All rescued Labs are placed in foster homes where they can be evaluated for temperament and level of training before being adopted. MLRR currently serves Chicagoland city and nearby suburbs (Illinois only, we do not adopt out of state). Due to our limited number of volunteers, we cannot adopt dogs to people who live outside of this area.

Cassie is the 2008/2009 MLRR Lab of the Year!
Cassie was adopted from Midwest Lab Rescue by Jan and Daryl C. of Roselle IL in 2006. She won the honor of being MLRR's Lab of the Year at our 4th Annual Dinner Auction held on May 17, 2008. Cassie will be featured on our web site, in our newsletter, and on the cover of the 2009 MLRR calendar.
